Fuel Reconditioning
3 Levels Of Service
⦁
Level 1 Aggressive Sweep:
Service includes our unique process of vacuum sweeping the tank bottom’s largest and dirtiest contaminants and temporarily storing this watery, sludgy bottom layer in a mobile temporary tank. Once we are satisfied with the initial sweep, we let the tank “settle” allowing heaviest particulates to drop to the temporary tank bottom. If the temporary tank has time to settle, we filter the “cream” off the top portion of the temporary tank back into your storage tank, disposing only the most contaminated fuel off site.
Level 2 Aggressive Sweep + Bottom Filtration:
Service includes our unique process of vacuum sweeping the tank bottom’s largest and dirtiest contaminants and temporarily storing this watery, sludgy bottom layer in a mobile temporary tank. Once we are satisfied with the initial sweep, we let the tank “settle” allowing heaviest particulates to drop to the temporary tank bottom during our bottom filtration process. Following the sweep, we place "stingers" at the bottom of your tank at opposite ends in an attempt to create an "under current" filtering particulate (10 micron standard) dislodged during our sweep. After our filtration is complete, we filter the “cream” off the top portion of the temporary tank back into your storage tank, disposing only the most contaminated fuel off site.
Multi-Stage Filtration Process:
Pre-filter Bag Filtration – This stage filters particulate matter (sludge) anywhere from 800-1 micron.
Coalescer – This stage separates fuel from water.
Canister Filtration – This stage filters fine water and particulate matter down to your requirements (our standard is 10 micron although we can go as low as 1 micron upon request).
Level 3 Complete Reconditioning:
Service includes level 1 and 2 in addition to moving all fuel through our 4-stage filtering process a minimum of (3) full rotations. For example, if there are 27,000 gallons of fuel in your tanks, we will move a minimum of 81,000 gallons through our Multi-Stage Filtration Process (unless we continue to plug filters – at which point we will continue to move fuel through the equipment).
"Fuel Bank" Fuel Testing Service:
Just like your generator's mandatory "Load Bank" test, your fuel is tested using our "Fuel Bank" by cycling all of your fuel through a Multi-Stage filtration process at a minimum of 26gpm, turning it over 3 times to ensure filters are prevented from clogging in an emergency.
